A massive technical failure at Amazon Web Services (AWS) has triggered global outages across some of the world’s most popular online platforms, including Snapchat, Roblox, Fortnite, Duolingo and Canva.

Amazon Web Services is the largest provider of cloud infrastructure technology, accounting for 37 percent of the global market and bringing in revenue of $107 billion. Microsoft and Google are next in terms of revenue, followed by Alibaba Group and Huawei.

Several major websites and applications are currently down due to a widespread internet outage. Among those affected are Canva, Amazon and Zoom.
