ATLANTA — Auburn whipped Memphis basketball wire to wire, closing out the preseason exhibition portion of both teams’ schedules with a 100-71 drubbing at State Farm Arena. The lopsided result was every bit as indicative of how the game played out.
Auburn far out-did Memphis in terms of scoring efficiency, but the number of the night was Memphis' 23 turnovers, as well as the 33 points Auburn scored off them. Last season, Auburn forced just one opponent into at least 20 turnovers.
