Happy World Ostrich Day! What’s not to love about these big, beautiful birds? OKC Zoo is home to four female ostriches. The ostrich is the world’s largest, flightless bird and only bird species that has two toes on each foot. Though flightless, these birds can move! Ostriches are strong runners reaching speeds up to 43 MPH. The Zoo's bird caretakers shared that our ostriches are very curious and each bird has its own personality.
